Summary
The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for the full cycle of talent acquisition, including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding, as well as supporting employee training and development. This role also oversees records and systems management and fosters positive employee relations. The work schedule will be structured to meet all essential job functions and will be supervised by the Director of Human Resources. All Boysville, Inc. employees receive comprehensive training in Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives and are expected to actively engage in QI meetings, tasks, projects, and committees as part of ongoing professional development and organizational improvement.
Essential Job Functions
- Leads, facilitates, and optimizes all phases of the recruitment process to ensure timely and effective talent acquisition
- Develops and applies innovative, efficient recruitment strategies tailored to specific roles, industry benchmarks, and the evolving needs of Boysville, Inc.
- Cultivates strong relationships with potential candidates and leverages the talent database to proactively fill open positions
- Collaborates with the Director of HR and program directors to design and execute effective recruitment and retention strategies
- Screens incoming resumes and maintain accurate, up-to-date application records throughout the hiring process
- Anticipates future hiring needs and proactively collaborates with the Director of HR to address workforce planning
- Represents the organization at college job fairs and recruitment events to attract top talent
- Conducts comprehensive HR orientations for new employees to ensure smooth onboarding experience
- Maintains accurate, up-to-date human resource records, including files for current and former employees, information updates, and employment verification
- Ensures all documentation complies with federal and state regulations, including timely completion of all required forms
- Completes all DFPS background check requirements for new hires in a timely manner
- This includes processing all initial background screenings
- Ensures strict compliance with all employment laws, regulations, and company policies at the federal, state, and local levels
- Partners with the Social Committee to develop, implement, and monitor employee recognition and morale initiatives, including:
- Open Enrollment
- Staff Christmas Party
- United Way Staff Campaign
- Employee Newsletter
- Ability to be certified in SAMA, CPR/First Aid, and Car Seat Safety
- Conduct SAMA, CPR/First Aid, and Car Safety Training for all staff
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the goals and operations of the Human Resources department
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; equivalent experience may be considered
- At least two years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or human resources, with demonstrated success in full-cycle recruiting
- Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS, and social media platforms for recruitment
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Professional certification (such as PHR, SHRM-CP,) is a plus
- Must exhibit behavior that demonstrates cultural diversity and sensitivity (See Corporate Policy #2103)
Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods while conducting interviews, meetings, or working at a computer
- Sufficient mobility to travel to job fairs, recruitment events, or multiple work sites as needed
- Capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (e.g., recruitment materials, displays, or files); sufficient strength and dexterity to perform chest compressions and manipulate car seats
- Visual and auditory acuity are required for reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and effective communication
- Mental stamina and resilience to manage multiple vacancies, tight deadlines, and shifting priorities
- Emotional intelligence and professionalism when interacting with candidates, staff, and external partners
- Capacity for sustained attention, critical thinking, and sound decision-making in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to kneel, squat, or get down to the floor and back up as required for CPR and car seat safety demonstrations
- Ability to side-step with control, twist at the waist, shift direction quickly while maintaining balance, and safely perform physical interventions as needed for SAMA certification
