PRIMARY FUNCTION:
A key role in supporting recruitment, employee training, recognition programs, and various HR functions to ensure BGCSCK maintains a positive and productive workplace environment.
KEY ROLES:
Recruitment:
- Support end-to-end recruitment processes including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting initial screenings, coordinating interviews, and completing references.
- Assist in sourcing candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, university connections, etc.
- Maintain applicant tracking system and ensure timely communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and ensure the smooth onboarding of new hires.
Training & Development:
- Coordinate the onboarding and orientation programs for new employees, ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed in their roles.
- Track and manage employee training programs, including scheduling, documentation, and follow-up.
- Work with department heads to assess training needs and implement appropriate learning and development initiatives.
- Maintain training records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and suggest improvements based on feedback and outcomes.
Employee Recognition:
- Support the development and implementation of employee recognition programs that promote a positive workplace culture.
- Assist in planning and executing recognition events, celebrations, and incentives to reward employees for their hard work and achievements.
- Gather feedback from employees and leadership on recognition programs to ensure they align with company values and employee needs.
General HR Support:
- Assist with administrative HR functions, including maintaining employee records, processing HR paperwork, and supporting HR functions.
- Provide support for employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes as needed.
- Coordinate internal communications related to HR initiatives, policies, and employee engagement.
- Stay up-to-date with HR trends, best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Relationships:
- Internal: Maintain regular contact with the Chief Financial, Senior Leadership Team, and Executive Directors to help in matters of recruiting and training.
- External: Maintain contact with BGCA on initiatives, practices, incentives, and operating procedures. Maintain contact with external community groups, schools, and others. Routinely and regularly represent the BGCSCK in public.

Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in HR, recruitment, or employee training (preferably within a fast-paced environment), experience in a non-profit organization is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with recruitment tools and platforms.
- Experience with tracking training or related tools is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR software (HRIS).
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Positive, proactive, and solution-oriented approach to HR functions.
