Job description:
PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Site Director supervises daily operations of designated Club Site with primary concern for member safety, staff supervision and program delivery.
Supervision
- Train, evaluate, and supervise assigned staff and volunteers – address performance concerns as they arise
- Ensure Club site is staffed to adequately provide supervision and quality program delivery
- Work cooperatively with staff and volunteers
- Model performance expectations
Safety
- Oversee daily program operations to ensure activities run efficiently and on schedule, with appropriate staff/member ratios
- Ensure a clean, healthy, and safe environment is established at the start and end of each day
- Address Club member behavior concerns as they arise
Programs & Activities
- Ensure an environment that facilitates successful program implementation
- Ensure adherence of policies and procedures
- Oversee program delivery
Communication
- Inform Director of Operations when performance, disciplinary or coaching opportunities arise
- Communicate with Director of Program Services regarding issues and/or challenges regarding program plans
- Communicate with parents as necessary
Skills/Knowledge Required
- Considerable knowledge of: mission, objectives, policies, programs, and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs and/or principles and practices of non-profit organizations
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, display leadership skills in organization and direction of a team, and ability to make decisions which support mission, vision, and values
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and ability to develop solutions to problems with limited supervision or guidance
