Summer Camp Counselor

Join the vibrant team at Camp Brighton this summer! We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate Summer Camp Counselors who love working with children and thrive in the great outdoors. As a counselor, you’ll inspire campers (ages 6-14) through exciting excursions, memorable hikes, and enriching activities amidst the stunning backdrop of the Brighton mountains and lakes.

• Ensure the safety and well-being of children ages 6-14.
• Foster a fun and engaging atmosphere for all campers.
• Provide guidance, support, and motivation to inspire campers.
• Organize and facilitate a variety of games, activities, and excursions.
• Welcome and engage with campers and parents during drop-off and pickup.
• Collaborate with staff to maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Uphold all safety protocols and procedures diligently.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ensure all team members maintain a professional appearance, wear the approved Brighton uniform and name tag.
• Maybe be required to do UTA van driver training and drive the van of campers depending on hiring interview.

• Enthusiasm Required: A fun-loving attitude and a genuine passion for working with children.
• Experience: Significant experience working with kids aged 6-14; teaching experience or a background in childhood development is preferred.
• Physical Fitness: Capable of leading hikes and activities at elevations of 9000 feet over challenging mountainous terrain.
• Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with campers and co-counselors.
• Emotional Intelligence: High level of empathy and emotional awareness to support camper relationships.
• Reliability: Demonstrated dependability with flexible scheduling.
• Commitment: Available to work Monday through Friday from June 20 to August 8.
• Motivation Skills: Ability to inspire and engage children through dynamic activities.
