Camp Brighton is looking for fun, energetic, enthusiastic and engaging summer camp assistant counselors who love being in the mountains and working with children. Assistant counselors will work along with lead counselors to create and sustain a fun, safe atmosphere for kids (ages 6-1) on excursions, hikes and other activities in the mountains and lakes around the Brighton Resort.
Responsibilities
- Provide a fun and engaging atmosphere for all campers
- Be enthusiastic and fun
- Participating in games, activities, excursions, etc…
- Welcome and engage with campers and parents during drop-off and pickup
- Daily cleaning and organizing of facilities and activities with staff
- Understanding and implementing all protocols and procedures for camper safety
- Reliable transportation to and from Brighton
Qualifications
- FUN, ENGAGING, ENTHUSIATIC and enjoys working with kids.
- Have an open mind to learn and connect with kids/campers.
- Other work experience is preferred, but not mandatory
- Experience as a “camper” in a summer camp
- A physical fitness level to be able to hike at 9000 ft. over steep mountainous terrain
- Reliable, flexible and caring
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to work Monday through Friday from June 19 through Aug 8
