Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Database Marketing Specialist to join our corporate marketing team. In this role, you will lead digital marketing initiatives across all Boyne Resorts properties and brands, with a focus on email & SMS campaigns. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing digital campaigns that drive engagement, loyalty, and revenue across all resorts using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and other database marketing solutions. In addition to brand and marketing teams, this position will work closely with the CRM team, Mountain Commerce, Analytics, external vendors, and guest services to ensure seamless experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Work with resorts to develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across 15 Boyne Resorts business units
- Build and manage email & SMS segments to support resort communications
- Develop and implement loyalty marketing campaigns including campaigns supporting the Boyne Rewards loyalty program
- Collaborate with marketing, CRM, IT, and guest service teams to ensure proper communications are in place prior to, during, and after a guests' visit
- Create targeted email segments to maximize campaign effectiveness
- Provide feedback and assistance to resorts on their creative efforts across digital channels, including dynamic content and personalization using AMPScript, Litmus, and built in SFMC tools
- Assist with proofing, scheduling and deploying digital marketing journeys
- Use SQL to query customer databases and build sophisticated audience segments
- Analyze campaign performance and provide recommendations for optimization
- Troubleshoot and support implemented Salesforce applications
- Maintain organization and best practices within SFMC such as naming conventions, tracking requirements, list management, etc.
- Stay current with email and SMS marketing best practices and industry trends
In this role, the Database Marketing Specialist will organize the intake of projects, implement solutions, and report results for campaigns designed to support the dynamic needs of the business (drive website traffic, online /offline bookings, customer engagement, customer retention and more). This position requires a team player who is detail-oriented, flexible, and self-motivated. Someone who can manage multiple tasks and projects at one time. The position will need to work well in a collaborative work environment while working remotely from home.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 3 years of experience in email marketing, preferably in hospitality or resort industry
- 1 year with direct experience in enterprise-level Email service provider platforms, SFMC preferred
- Proficiency with email marketing platforms and CRM systems
- Strong analytical skills with experience in campaign measurement and optimization
- Excellent writing and editing skills with ability to create engaging content
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple business units and departments
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of SQL for database querying and audience segmentation
- 2 years direct experience working within SFMC using AMPscript, Email Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Studio, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder
- SFMC certifications including Marketing Cloud Admin or Marketing Cloud Email Specialist
- Hospitality industry experience

Work Environment
The current team is considered full-time remote workers. In a full-time, remote work environment, the candidate is expected to be well disciplined and have a quality quiet personal workspace. On a semi-regular basis, the team is brought together all at once for a week or less in order to build comradery, typically this happens once a year, or when an opportunity arises due to projects being executed. Regardless of if working remote or not, occasional travel within the US and/or Canada may be required for special projects.

Schedule: Full-Time Year-Round
Travel: Around 4 weeks per year
