Grounds Maintenance Team Lead
As a Grounds Maintenance Team Lead, you are responsible for assisting the Base Operations Manager in the day-to-day running of the grounds and snow removal teams. This team member would help oversee the upkeep and maintenance of outdoor areas at Boyne Mountain and fulfill the Grounds plan coordinated by the Base Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance of lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, and other landscaping features.
- Coordinate, schedule, and assign daily tasks to the ground team to ensure they are working efficiently.
- Coordinate and fulfill the Grounds project plan in coordination with the Base Operations Manager.
- Train and ensure proper use and preventative maintenance of Grounds department equipment and tools by the team.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and order replacements as needed.
- Perform hands-on grounds maintenance work as needed.
- Lead a team of up to 10 Grounds maintenance team members, including assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance within the maintenance task based on the Grounds departments needs as determined by the Base Operations Manager.
- Ensure team members adhere to safety protocols and maintain a high standard of work through safety training, and weekly safety topic discussion.
- Create and maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment usage, and safety inspections.
- Implore Long-Term Thinking to improve the Grounds department, mitigate risk, and maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications:
- A valid driver's license is required.
- At least one year of related experience is required.
- The physical ability to perform required tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work with a team and independently.
- Able to complete OSHA 40-hour course within six months of hire.
- A proven track record of maintaining a calm, professional demeanor in stressful situations.
- Friendly, personable, and empathetic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, with varying hours based on season and project demands.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in Grounds Maintenance.
