The Rental Sales Manager directs and controls all rental sales activity and implements sales policy in the respective sales region through direct supervision of Rental Sales Representatives to achieve sales, market share, and profit objectives. This position allows for flexible, hybrid work environment, also reporting as directed to:

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
- Travel to branches or other locations as required to perform assigned duties
- Maintain a valid motor vehicle operators' license
- Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English
- Ability to operate a P.C. (Windows, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Able to climb on, operate, and inspect equipment
- Direct Rental Sales Representatives (RSR) to obtain sales, market share, and profitability
- 2 years management experience preferred
- Sales experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise RSR activities to ensure proper sales coverage, customer relations, communications (oral and written), market intelligence, machine demonstrations, and expense control
- Travel with RSRs to analyze and improve performance, territory coverage, management, and selling skills, and to foster a good working relationship
- Develop a thorough understanding and knowledge of rental markets and products.
- Develop merchandising/focus programs by communicating with manufacturers
- Develop market strategies to improve Company performance in assigned markets
- Submit annual business plan, achieve annual sales forecasts, objectives, and budgets
- Conduct sales meetings and training programs to ensure RSRs are knowledgeable and continue to expand their understanding of products, services, applications, markets, competitive activity, and selling skills
- Monitor, evaluate, and report overall market conditions, business activities and related industry developments and trends to determine their effect on the Company and propose appropriate responses
- Identify areas for new or increased rental sales development as a means to continually expand and improve Company sales dollars and market coverage
- Develop business and personal relationships with new, existing, or prospective customers at the appropriate level and monitor, improve relationships to maximize sales and ensure total customer satisfaction is achieved
- Hire, train, and supervise staff
- Work with employees to set aggressive professional and achievable goals to enhance the employee’s performance
- Use coaching techniques to recognize employees’ accomplishments and strengths and to improve any other areas
- Evaluate employee performance on a regular basis and prepare the related Position Descriptions, Performance Appraisals, and salary administration
- Recommend to manager ideas to improve the departments operating procedures or business practices and participate in and support continuous improvement of all related activities and processes
- Project a positive image by interacting with fellow employees, customers, and management in a cooperative, supportive, and courteous manner; display a professional attitude; comply with company dress code
- Create and maintain good communications (verbally and in writing) and relationships with other Company departments, branches, employees, outside vendors, and customers by addressing and resolving concerns quickly
