About the Role
The Claims Advocate serves as a trusted resource and advocates for our clients throughout the claims process. This role is the bridge between our clients, carriers, and internal team—ensuring claims are handled with urgency, clarity, and care.
This is not just an administrative role. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates proactively, and genuinely cares about delivering a high-level client experience.
What You’ll Do
Client Advocacy & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the claims process
- Guide clients through each step, setting expectations and providing clear updates
- Handle incoming and outgoing claim-related calls and emails with professionalism and urgency
Claims Coordination
- Communicate with carriers, adjusters, and vendors to support timely claim resolution
- Follow up proactively to ensure claims continue progressing
- Advocate for clients when issues arise or additional support is needed
Claims Administration
- Set up new claims and maintain accurate claim files in the agency management system
- Document all claim activity consistently and thoroughly
- Review claim forms and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness
Monitoring & Reporting
- Maintain claim diaries and follow-up schedules
- Track claim activity and assist in preparing summaries for internal and client review
- Identify trends or opportunities to improve claim outcomes
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Account Executives, Producers, and Leadership
- Participate in claim reviews and internal meetings as needed
- Support a team-first, positive office environment

What We’re Looking For
Experience & Skills
- Insurance agency or claims experience preferred (personal or commercial lines)
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
- Comfortable navigating sensitive or high-stress client situations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (AMS360 experience is a plus)
- Active Tennessee Property & Casualty license preferred (or willingness to obtain)
