What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mover/Packer position at Boxin Moving LLC?
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Mover to join our growing team. This leadership role is essential to the successful execution of our moving operations, including crew management, logistics coordination, and delivering outstanding customer experiences. Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, transport, and safely deliver heavy furniture and household goods.
- Assemble and disassemble furniture as required.
- Train, lead, and supervise assigned moving crews on job sites.
- Ensure proper padding, wrapping, securing, and fastening of items during transport.
- Complete and submit damage claims, vehicle inspection reports, and inventory documentation.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Availability to work weekends, extended hours, and mandatory overtime when required.
- Experience operating box trucks or large vans preferred.
- Valid driver’s license (Non-CDL required).
- Ability to lift, carry, load, and unload items weighing 50 lbs or more.
- Proficiency in assembling and disassembling furniture.
- Skilled in using straps, ties, and proper securing techniques.
- Knowledge of proper furniture padding and wrapping procedures.
- Ability to perform frequent physical movements including pulling, pushing, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
- Positive attitude and a problem-solving mindset under pressure.
- Comfortable using tablets, mobile apps, and GPS systems.
- Must be able to meet in Fairfield, NJ, or drive directly to job sites as required.
