Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Utilize SolidWorks CAD software for effective design communication, including 3D models, 2D drawings, assembly prints, and Bills of Materials.
- Conduct thorough peer reviews to optimize product designs.
- Collaborate with sourcing/purchasing to ensure supplier compliance with design specifications and adjust designs for manufacturability.
- Develop detailed drawings and maintain a strong understanding of Bills of Materials to ensure consistent quality standards.
- Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure efficient production and create engineering assembly instructions.
- Conduct usability tests and refine products based on results.
- Generate multiple design prototypes using computer-aided design tools.
- Assess design solutions against industry standards and regulations.
- Document the design process and present progress reports to stakeholders.
- Requires 3 years' experience in designing production products.
- Automotive product development
- Proficient in SolidWorks 3D CAD software.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or industrial design.
