What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief of Staff position at BOXABL INC?
Overview
We are seeking a high-energy, cross-functional Chief of Staff to drive mission-critical initiatives across the organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role serves as a strategic partner and ambassador of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), translating vision into execution while navigating complex, cross-departmental projects with agility and influence.
You will lead high-visibility programs, align disparate functions (Finance, Operations, Product, Tech, HR, Legal), and act as the connective tissue between strategy and delivery — all while maintaining momentum, accountability, and executive-level communication.
Key Responsibilities
1. ELT Ambassador & Strategic Alignment
- Act as the voice and proxy of the ELT in cross-functional working groups and steering committees.
- Distill executive priorities into actionable project plans and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
- Champion organizational goals with clarity, urgency, and infectious energy.
2. End-to-End Project Leadership
- Own multiple concurrent enterprise-wide projects (e.g., system implementations, cost transformation, M&A integration, process re-engineering).
- Define scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and success metrics in partnership with functional leads.
- Drive on-time, on-budget delivery through structured governance and proactive risk mitigation.
3. Cross-Functional Orchestration
- Build and lead virtual project teams across Finance, IT, Operations, Sales, and other functions.
- Break down silos, resolve conflicts, and foster collaboration in high-stakes environments.
- Influence without direct authority — using data, relationships, and executive presence.
4. Executive Communication & Reporting
- Deliver crisp, insightful updates to the CFO and ELT (dashboards, decks, verbal briefings).
- Anticipate information needs and present complex issues with clarity and confidence.
- Prepare CFO for board, investor, and leadership meetings tied to your projects.
5. Change Leadership & Adoption
- Design and execute change management strategies to ensure buy-in and sustained impact.
- Train, coach, and energize teams during transitions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 8 years in project/program management; 5 years leading cross-functional enterprise initiatives.
- Proven track record delivering $5M programs involving Finance, IT, and Operations.
- PMP, PgMP, or Agile certifications strongly preferred.
- MBA or advanced degree a plus.
Must-Have Skills:
- Exceptional executive presence — comfortable advising C-suite and influencing peers.
- Dynamic communicator — can rally a room, simplify complexity, and adapt tone to audience.
- Cross-functional fluency — deep experience bridging Finance, Tech, and Operations.
- Bias for action — thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and drives decisions.
- Mastery of project tools (Asana, Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, Tableau/Power BI).
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in transformational process.
- Background in finance.
- Prior role reporting to or partnering closely with ELT.
Who You Are
- Energizer: People follow you because you lead with clarity and momentum.
- Connector: You build trust fast and turn stakeholders into allies.
- Finisher: You hate loose ends and obsess over measurable outcomes.
- Diplomat Driver: You balance empathy with urgency.
Why This Role?
- Direct impact on company transformation.
- High visibility to the ELT and Board.
- Fast-track to broader leadership for top performers.
- Join a culture that moves quickly and rewards ownership.
