What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founding Auto Repair Store Manager / Service Advisor (Hybrid Pre-Launch Role) position at Bowy's Automotive?
Bowy’s Automotive is a brand-new, full-service auto repair facility launching in August 2026. We are mid-remodel with an estimated completion date of late-July 2026.
This is not a typical “step into an existing shop” role.
This is a ground-floor opportunity to help build a shop, from layout and workflow to customer experience and team structure, before the doors ever open.
We are hiring early and structuring this as a hybrid role:
- Now → Launch: Work inside AutoBoost | Business Actualization (our automotive marketing company), supporting shop growth strategy and sales process optimization. Planning for the auto repair shop launch and hirign new team members.
- At Launch (Estimated for Late August, 2026): Transition into leading day-to-day operations at Bowy’s Automotive
This gives you a rare advantage: you won’t just run the shop, you’ll help design how it runs.

Hear why we’re building Bowy’s Automotive:
What You’ll Do (Pre-Launch Phase)
While the shop is being built, you’ll work inside our marketing agency with a focus on how shops grow and operate:
- Review real customer phone calls from auto repair shops and identify missed revenue opportunities
- Analyze service advisor performance and sales process effectiveness
- Manage and respond to Google Local Service Ads leads
- Support content creation (real-world shop scenarios, customer communication, service workflows)
- Learn how top-performing shops think about sales, communication, and retention
At the same time, you’ll be directly involved in building Bowy’s Automotive:
- Contribute to shop layout, workflow, and production design
- Help design the service area, customer experience, and communication flow
- Assist in selecting tools, systems, and operational processes
- Work with ownership to define how the shop will actually run day-to-day
- Interviewing and Hiring Service Support Staff and Technicians
What You’ll Do (Post-Launch)
Once the shop opens, you will step into a leadership role running the front of the house:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, from first call to vehicle pickup
- Write estimates, sell work, and clearly communicate repairs
- Manage workflow, scheduling, and technician productivity
- Ensure a high level of organization, efficiency, and customer experience
- Drive revenue through ethical sales and strong customer relationships
- Help recruit, train, and develop additional team members
- Partner with ownership to continuously improve operations and performance
What We’re Looking For
This role requires more than a typical service advisor.
You need to be able to think, build, and execute.
- Strong experience as a Service Advisor, Shop Manager, or similar role
- Deep understanding of shop workflow, estimating, and repair processes
- Ability to identify sales opportunities and improve close rates
- Comfortable reviewing calls, processes, and performance critically
- Strong communication skills: clear, direct, and professional
- Organized and process-oriented: you don’t let things fall through
- Willingness to be involved before the shop exists (this is not a “walk into a finished system” role)
Bonus if you:
- Have both technical and front-of-house experience. This is not a technician role, but having advanced vehicle diagnostic experience, experience with common shop equipment, and a willingness to take on a technical task for overflow are desired
- Have helped build or improve shop processes before
- Are comfortable with data, reporting, or performance tracking
Why This Role Is Different
- You help build the shop before it opens
- You gain exposure to hundreds of real shop interactions before ever taking your first customer
- You transition into a leadership role with context, not guesswork
- You work directly with ownership on both marketing and operations
Position Details
- Hybrid role (pre-launch agency work → post-launch shop leadership)
- Full-time path for the right candidate
- In-office role (no remote), being close to Palmyra, PA, the shop location is desired
- Compensation based on experience, with growth tied to shop performance
