Position Overview


The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's information technology systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technical support services. Responsibilities include ensuring the day-to-day operational activities of help-desk support, network administration and operation of our software systems, including our ERP. This role ensures the reliability, security, and efficiency of all technology resources while supporting business objectives through strategic planning, project management, and continuous improvement of IT operations.


Primary Job Responsibilities:


  • Develop, implement, and maintain IT strategies, policies and procedures.
  • Manage day-to-day IT operations, including networks, servers, hardware, software, and telecommunications systems.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of all technology systems.
  • Oversee system upgrades, installations, and technology implementations.
  • Lead and support the IT helpdesk function.
  • Ensure timely resolution of technical issues and service requests.
  • Develop service standards and performance metrics.
  • Oversee inventory management of hardware, software, and IT assets.
  • Ensure software licensing compliance.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for complex technical issues.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage IT projects from initiation to completion.
  • Collaborate with departments to identify technology needs and solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships and technology contracts.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve business operations.
  • Manage and configure Microsoft 365 Tenant, Azure, Teams, Admin Center, and SharePoint Admin Center.
  • Monitor service health, usage reports, and compliance dashboards.
  • Perform daily infrastructure monitoring and infrastructure health checks, including anti-virus protection status, backups job completion.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies and best practices.
  • Monitor systems for security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Manage data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support OneDrive for business deployment, sync issues, and data governance.
  • Manage user identities, conditional access policies, MFA, and role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Integrate third-party applications and manage enterprise app registrations.
  • Administer and configure the Microsoft Purview compliance portal to manage data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, information protection and sensitivity labels, audit logs and insider risk management, eDiscovery and compliance manager assessments
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and security teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met using Purview tools.
  • Manage all physical and virtual servers and any supporting tools/technologies with a focus on Windows servers.
  • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
  • Provide onsite and remote support, troubleshooting and resolution of computer and mobile device hardware and software issues, telephony, printers, networking, email and internet.
  • Responsible for product support and warranties, leasing, maintenance, and software contracts, as well as hardware purchases, and license information.
  • Set-up, manage and maintain IT and phone related equipment.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware equipment, software licenses, and other peripherals
  • Maintain and review hardware and software maintenance agreements to ensure integrity of operation processes.
  • Control and maintain secure passwords for internal software and systems.
  • Collaborate with security teams to enforce compliance and governance standards.
  • Maintain the internet connection, firewall and monitoring security tools.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation of administrative tasks and reporting.
  • Complete Employee IT Onboarding/Offboarding/Leave/Role changes as received.
  • Conduct training sessions and create documentation for end-users and IT staff.
  • Prepare and manage the IT department budget.
  • Monitor technology expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Establish and implement change control, best practices with regards to ERP system maintenance, configuration, development, testing and data integrity.
  • Manage D365 roles, profiles, sharing rules, workflows, groups and licensing
  • Provide end user support of ERP system, providing analysis and proof of concept.
  • Maintain/Develop data warehouse, models, reports and manage azure environment integrations.
  • Prioritize, design and facilitate successful implementation and adoption of new processes.
  • Participate in final acceptance testing, verifying with stakeholders, deploying new functionality to production through lifecycle management.
  • Train users and create the supporting technical and training documentation.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant systems/network administration. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, servers, cloud computing, enterprise systems, and cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge of IT governance, risk management, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in Microsoft 365, Windows Server, virtualization technologies, and enterprise applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting is considered an asset.
  • Strong hands-on experience of Microsoft Dynamics or ERP system with manufacturing environments. Previous experience with ERP implementations is an asset.
  • Solid understanding of SQL, SSIS, RSAT, DevOps, Life Cycle Management (LCS), and experience building complex, cross functional technology solutions.
  • DAX Proficiency, Data Modeling, Power BI, SQL Queries, Visualization Techniques, Power Query, Performance Tuning and Data Security.
  • Experience with Synapse, Dataverse, Power Platform and Power Apps.
  • Experience with hybrid environments and identity synchronization (e.g., AAD Connect).
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview solutions for data governance and compliance.
  • Experience with Hyper-V & Scale (KVM).
  • Windows 10 & 11, Server 2016-2022.
  • Strong technical documentation skills
  • Desk-side hardware and software support experience.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  •  Willingness to work extended hours as required.
