What You'll Do
As a Rustproof Technician / New Car Prep Specialist, you'll help prepare new and used vehicles for delivery by:
- Applying rustproofing and undercoating to vehicles
- Safely lifting vehicles and ensuring complete, quality coverage
- Applying rustproofing materials to doors, panels, engine compartments, truck beds, and other designated areas
- Wearing required protective equipment provided by the dealership
- Washing, detailing, and preparing vehicles for customer delivery
- Inspecting vehicles for damage or missing accessories
- Cleaning overspray and maintaining a professional finish
- Moving and parking vehicles throughout the dealership
- Assisting with vehicle transfers between dealership locations as needed
- Maintaining a clean, organized work area
- Assisting with snow and ice removal during the winter season
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Automotive or detailing experience is helpful but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk throughout the shift
- Ability to work in a wet environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
