Child Counselor

Bowman Family Services is a dynamic, wellness and client -centered private practice that is currently seeking Fully Licensed Counselors to join our team! Do you have a passion for counseling young children ( ages 4 and up) and working collaboratively with their families in navigating emotional, behavioral, and psychological issues? Also, if you have expertise in utilizing therapeutic techniques such as play therapy and art therapy, and possess strong interpersonal skills, we would like to talk with you! Counselors willing to be licensed across other states is preferred. Additionally, specific training in EMDR and IFS is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Experience in working with young children, ages 4 years of age and up, using play therapy techniques (ex., doll and puppet play, art therapy, role-playing).
• Provide therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Participate in regular supervision and continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Current state licensure as a Counselor (LCMHC, LCMHC-A, LMFT, LMFT-A, LCSW, LCSW-A, or equivalent).
• Experience working in a private practice setting preferred.
• Experience working with young children and their families.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with diverse populations.
