Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping, smoothing, and finishing concrete surfaces to create durable, high-quality structures. Your expertise will ensure that concrete work meets precise specifications and safety standards, contributing to the successful completion of various construction projects. Responsibilities
- Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using hand tools such as trowels, floats, and edgers to achieve desired textures and finishes
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to accurately execute concrete forms and placements
- Install rebar reinforcement and construct formwork according to project specifications and safety protocols
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment including concrete mixers, pumps, saws, and cutting tools safely and efficiently
- Perform concrete cutting, pouring, sealing, caulking, and sealing tasks to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic quality
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other tradespeople on construction sites to coordinate tasks effectively
- Adhere strictly to construction workplace safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all team members
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on concrete finishing or related trades such as masonry or plastering
- Mechanical knowledge of tools, equipment operation, and construction techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and interpret construction plans accurately
- Familiarity with concrete forming, rebar installation, concrete pouring, and finishing techniques
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and safety regulations in a construction environment
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices including OSHA standards or equivalent safety protocols
- Experience with renovation projects or restoration work is a plus but not required
