What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Specialist position at Bowles Properties, Inc?
Longview family-owned company, Bowles Properties, Inc., is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist with an opportunity to grow within the company.
Responsibilities include:
- Enter new vendors, operators, properties within the accounting system
- Accurate and timely preparation of financial reports in A/P, A/R, month-end closing and preparation of books for CPA including
- Coordinate with field and management to ensure timely and accurate invoice entries
- Bookkeeping for several entities
- Prepare bank deposits and organize and file transaction documents for multiple entities
- Bank reconciliations
- Report Sales Tax Quarterly
- Railroad Commission Reporting as necessary
- Run monthly Joint Interest Billing statements
- Coordinate with office staff as needed
- Timely management of email inbox.
- Timely payment of contractors
- Assist with weekly bank runs
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements:
- Understanding of accounting principles
- Knowledge of standard accounting procedures
- Proficient in QuickBooks and MS Excel
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within team
- Self-starter
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Must be able to handle items deemed urgent
- Strong communication skills with a wide range of audiences in both written and oral form
- Ability to handle interruptions
Preferred Qualifications (not required)
- Oil and gas revenue experience
- Experience with Ad Valorem Taxes
- Experience with multi-location or multi-department accounts payable processes
- PakEnergy experience
Salary commensurate with level of experience.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
