Accounting Clerk III (H40-2026-25262)
Bowhead seeks a Accounting Clerk III to support a newly awarded contract in Dahlgren, VA. This contract will provide configuration management (CM), logistics, mechanical and electrical engineering technician services, field service support, project management, drafting and design, technical writing, and acquisition services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Unmanned & Expeditionary Weapon Systems (H40) Division and Intelligent Automation (H60) Division.
Responsibilities
Job Duties to include but are not limited to:
- Execute the financial transactions related to patient care services.
- Monitor the revenue cycle to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement strategies to minimize revenue loss and maximize financial performance.
- Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to track key performance indicators and financial metrics.
- Provide guidance to staff members on revenue-related processes and best practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in handling financial information and transactions.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associates (or higher) in accounting or business related degree
- Five (5) years of experience in the area of accounting functions.
- Experience includes tracking of program and project budgets preparation of actual costs financial reports, verifying financial information, and ensuring sufficient funds have been obligated.
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
