Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Transportation and/or Ambulance Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities while ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to communicate effectively with both patients and medical personnel.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate an ambulance or other transport vehicle in compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport patients to hospitals or other medical facilities in a timely manner.
- Load and unload patients from the ambulance or transport vehicle.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle, including routine inspections and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, medical personnel, and family members regarding patient status and transportation needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring a comforting environment for patients during transport.
- Document all relevant information related to patient transport and vehicle operations as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service is preferred, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience in shuttle driving, van driving, or emergency vehicle driving is a plus.
- Familiarity with driver responsibilities and services can be beneficial.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is REQUIRED.
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations while effectively communicating with others.
- Due to insurance regulations, applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age UNLESS the applicant has CEVO/EVOC training.
