Position Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and address the needs of all customers in a timely manner
• Demonstrate your passion for food and all Bow Street Market products
• Slice, cut, weigh, and package products according to customers’ needs
• Perform assigned tasks such as replenishing merchandise, preparation of food products, or setting up displays
• Process and merchandise all product with care, paying special attention to rotation of products according to department standards
• Maintain accurate records of production, shrink, sales, and inventory
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize equipment as outlined by company policies
• Build positive relationships with the customers and team members
• Maintain excellent communication with the management team and all associates in the store
• Assist in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
• Observe and follow all company policies and established standard practices
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and comply with company personal appearance policy
• Assist in training other associates when assigned
• Support company safety standards
• Communicate equipment repairs or maintenance work needed
• Keep work area free from debris and safety hazards
• Treat all co-workers with kindness and respect
• Develop product knowledge in all areas of assigned department
• Have total understanding of department’s standard practice manual and its intent
• Observe and maintain company sanitation and food safety standards
• Maintain the quality of department’s appearance and presentation
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills. Effective interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team environment. Must meet minimum age requirements to comply with company policy – 18 years of age. Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job. Must love working with food!

Physical Requirements

• Perform repetitive grasping, pinching, squeezing and hand/arm motions while standing and walking most of the shift
• Push and pull 3 to 15 pounds frequently
• Reach to shoulder level frequently while lifting 15 pounds
• Frequently bend, reach, grasp and lift items at or above waist level
• Ability and availability to work a schedule that meets business needs
• Ability to lift to 15 pounds frequently, including overhead lifting, and up to 75 pounds occasionally
• Use hands to operate controls, feel object, and use tools to prepare products
• Handle a variety of materials associated with cleaning, packaging, merchandising and food production
• Tolerate working in extreme hot/cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time
