Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Sandwich Artisan to join our vibrant food service team at Mancini's Italian Deli. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches and other menu items according to company recipes and standards
- Operate Toast POS systems for order processing and transactions
- Ensure all food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols are strictly followed
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Provide friendly customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience
- Manage cash handling accurately during transactions
- Assist with food prep, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen operations as needed
- Uphold sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations
- Effectively manage time to serve customers promptly during busy periods
- Support team members in maintaining a clean, organized café or retail environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with Toast POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Experience working in quick service & fast food restaurants or cafés is advantageous
- Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude throughout shifts
- Must be available to work Saturdays and evenings
