Responsibilities:
- Bathe pets according to client specifications and breed standards
- Handle and restrain pets during bathing procedures
- Clean and maintain grooming tools and equipment
- Provide basic grooming services such as nail trims, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing
- Monitor pet behavior and health during grooming sessions
- Ensure the safety and well-being of pets at all times
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized grooming area
Skills:
- Experience in dog handling and animal handling is preferred
- Knowledge of different dog breeds and their grooming requirements
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners
- Ability to lift heavy objects, such as large dogs or grooming equipment
- Basic knowledge of pet care, including feeding, exercise, and health maintenance
Note: While skills in dog training, pet sitting, equine care, kennel management, veterinary assistance, or other related areas are beneficial, they are not required for this position. However, candidates with these additional skills may be considered for other roles within our organization.
