DESCRIPTION
A 10-year boutique talent agency in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a Talent Agent to take over and maintain their own roster of clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an agent’s assistant or sub-agent who is ready to earn commission and transition into a full-time agent position with greater independence.
(Please note commission is negotiable and on top of hourly for the first 6 months. But this listing only displays "hourly" as a requirement)
Applicants must have at least two years of experience as an assistant at a talent agency or management company. Applicants must not currently be working as a professional actor, must not have acted professionally within the past year, and must not currently be a member of SAG-AFTRA or Actors’ Equity Association (or willing to forfeit).
The agency works primarily with professional theatre and musical theatre actors, singers, and dancers. A confident understanding and strong working knowledge of vocal ranges and vocal types is a must.
Candidates must:
- Be NYC-based
- Be able to work independently and efficiently
- Be proficient in the Breakdown Express system
- Have a proficient understanding of professional performance contracts
- Be familiar with casting directors and their assistants
- Be available to attend industry showcases
- Provide two professional references
Compensation is hourly pay plus commission.
