Quality Technician Responsibilities
- Provide a second quality sign-off for critical production orders
- Perform frequent quality inspections directly on the production floor
- Verify initial machine setups and confirm products meet established specifications and tolerances
- Inspect products within the first several hundred pieces of each production run
- Conduct batch inspections and repeat quality checks throughout longer production runs
- Identify defects, inconsistencies, and setup issues before they affect an entire order
- Work closely with machine operators and supervisors to resolve product quality concerns
- Troubleshoot quality issues in collaboration with production operators and technicians
- Confirm that established procedures and quality standards are consistently followed
- Assist with machine operation, production, or maintenance activities when the quality workload permits
- At least 3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience performing quality checks on a production floor
- Experience operating production machinery and producing work to defined specifications and tolerances
- Ability to validate machine setups and conduct early-run and batch inspections
- Strong understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing environment
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operators, supervisors, and technicians
- Ability to work mandatory Friday overtime when required by production demands
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, including cannabis
