Project BIM Engineer Responsibilities
- Produce detailed design and permit drawing sets for fuel oil systems, including hazmat and fire code submittals
- Model BIM and coordinate system layouts using AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
- Collaborate with clients and design teams, providing real-time project updates and resolving technical challenges
- Manage and prioritize 8 - 10 active projects while adapting to shifting client or engineering needs
- Participate in weekly virtual meetings and internal design reviews
- Communicate professionally with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders throughout all project phases
- Support field teams as issues arise and troubleshoot system integration problems
- 3 - 5 years engineering design experience
- Strong BIM modeling skills and experience with AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems
- Ability to multitask, shift priorities quickly, and thrive in a fast-moving environment
- Confidence in communicating directly with clients and design teams
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred, but experience considered in place of degree
- A team-first mindset and a proactive, no-ego approach to problem-solving
- Experience designing fuel systems or mission-critical infrastructure is a plus
- Engineering certifications or interest in obtaining them is a plus
