Paralegal Responsibilities
- Summarize and subpoena medical records while tracking all related documentation
- Ensure timely retrieval of requested medical records
- Assist with expert witnesses by ensuring documents reach retained experts
- Review and analyze discovery materials, identifying necessary subpoenas for medical and employment records
- Perform medical record analysis and provide summaries
- Communicate pertinent issues to attorneys as they arise
- Manage calendaring and deadlines effectively
- Meet a billable requirement of 140 hours per month
- Minimum of 5-7 years of personal injury experience with a strong understanding of medical records
- A Paralegal certificate is required
- Experience in litigation and trial preparation
- Proficient in summarizing and subpoenaing medical records
- Ability to assist with expert witness documentation
- Drafting discovery experience is preferred
