Import Clerk Responsibilities
- Respond to emails and address inquiries
- Manage daily statements and ensure timely payment of taxes for cleared entries
- Generate reports from statements and submit tax reports for managerial approval
- Print and file documents, managing an average of 200 files per month
- Support Import Brokers and maintain effective communication with team members
- Demonstrate good handwriting for documentation purposes
- 1-2 years of experience in administrative or data entry roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Good handwriting is essential for document preparation
- Experience in logistics, customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or international trade is preferred
- Associate’s degree or higher is preferred
