Position Title: Employment Litigation Mid to Senior-Level Associate

A leading national labor and employment law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Mid-to-Senior Associate to join its Denver office. This position focuses on managing employment litigation matters throughout Colorado and Utah, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and mediations. The attorney will also provide strategic legal counsel to employers navigating workplace disputes, employment regulations, and compliance challenges.

The ideal candidate is a proactive employment litigator with strong trial experience, exceptional legal writing skills, and the ability to independently handle complex matters while delivering practical solutions to clients.

Salary Range: $245,000 - $250,000 / annually, DOE

Responsibilities

• Independently manage employment litigation matters across Colorado and Utah from inception through resolution
• Prepare and respond to pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and other litigation documents
• Conduct and defend depositions, argue motions, and participate in trials, evidentiary hearings, and mediations
• Defend employers against discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, and other employment-related claims
• Provide strategic counsel regarding Title VII and applicable federal and state employment laws
• Draft and revise employee handbooks, workplace policies, and employment-related documentation
• Deliver training and guidance to employers on workplace compliance and employment law matters
• Collaborate with partners and attorneys across multiple practice teams to develop effective litigation strategies
  
  

Requirements

• Active admission to practice law in both Colorado and Utah
• Minimum of 6 years of employment litigation experience
• Trial or evidentiary hearing experience
• Proven ability to independently manage employment litigation matters through resolution
• Experience handling Title VII, unpaid compensation, wage-related, and harassment claims
• Strong litigation skills, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and courtroom advocacy
• Excellent academic credentials, legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines and complex caseloads
• Self-motivated, collaborative professional with excellent communication and client relationship skills
