Salary Range: $40.00 / Hour DOE
CNC & Manual Machinist Lead Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mill and Mori CNC lathe; operate manual lathes, mills, drill presses, and grinders
- Build and/or prove out fixturing for automation of jobs
- Prove out CNC programs and provide feedback to refine them
- Run complex jobs and support production of new welders and parts orders
- Troubleshoot machining issues and serve as the primary resource for machine-related challenges
- Coach and mentor less experienced operators
- Occasionally work with EDM equipment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work as a team player and engage in training others
- Strong manual machining experience, ideally 5 years
- CNC setup and operation experience, particularly with mill and lathe
- Troubleshooting aptitude and ability to visualize manufacturing concepts
- Willingness to work onsite during first shift in a job shop environment
- Exposure to CNC programming concepts is preferred
- Experience building and proving fixturing and automating jobs is preferred
- Leadership or mentoring experience is preferred
- Experience with materials such as copper, steels, and stellite is preferred
- EDM exposure is preferred
- Two weeks of vacation accrual starting after 90 days
