E&S Wholesale Underwriter – APD/MTC - Transportation Focus Hybrid in Montvale, NJ$70-$120k based on experience A well-established insurance team is seeking an experienced Excess & Surplus (E&S) Underwriter with a strong background in Auto Physical Damage (APD) and Motor Truck Cargo (MTC) lines. This role is based in Montvale, NJ and will succeed a retiring underwriter in 2026. ️ Role OverviewThis specialty commercial underwriting position focuses on non-standard, higher-risk transportation accounts that fall outside traditional carrier guidelines. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in underwriting complex auto risks and structuring coverage for trucking, logistics, and cargo operations.
