Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Provider to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. Duties
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and structured activities to ensure safety at all times
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic health needs in accordance with safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized childcare environment, including toys and learning materials
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns regarding child safety or welfare
- Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing individualized care as needed
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Experience working with children of different ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with disabilities
- Certified in first aid and CPR (preferably pediatric first aid) to respond effectively in emergencies
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to implement child supervision protocols consistently while fostering independence and confidence in children
- Knowledge of daycare center operations, nannying, babysitting, or classroom experience is highly valued
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and well-being
