Duties
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and structured activities to ensure safety and well-being
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting childcare space that adheres to health and safety standards
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
- Apply child supervision techniques that support positive behavior management and social skills development
- Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting any concerns related to child safety or well-being
- Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring prompt response to minor injuries or emergencies
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying or similar settings
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is highly preferred
- Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a positive learning environment
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, children, and team members
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently and adhere to childcare licensing regulations
