Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs as needed.
- Provide professional dental cleanings, periodontal charting, scaling, and preventive treatments.
- Take high-quality dental radiographs (current Radiology license required).
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, and preventive care techniques.
- Assist in developing individualized treatment plans and reinforce doctor recommendations.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix.
- Follow all OSHA, CDC, and infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Provide compassionate care to patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
- Work collaboratively with the dentist and team members to deliver an outstanding patient experience.
- Stay current with continuing education and advancements in dental hygiene and patient care.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Hygienist license in good standing.
- Current Radiology certification/license required.
- Experience with Dentrix is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- A positive attitude, professional demeanor, and commitment to exceptional patient care.
- Previous dental hygiene experience is preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply.
