We currently have clinics located in Boulder (2 locations), Louisville, Longmont, and Erie.
Summary
Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking experienced Medical Assistants and / or experienced medically trained candidates to join our local Resource Team! This is a benefits-eligible position with flexible scheduling options-full-time (32-40 hours per week), Monday through Friday. This position is based at our Foothills clinic location at 4745 Arapahoe Ave STE 200 Boulder, CO 80304.
The Resource Team is ideal for those who enjoy variety and the opportunity to work across multiple areas of care. - Part-time employees are eligible for medical / dental / vision, company-paid life insurance, voluntary benefits, 401(k), and holiday pay (if regularly scheduled to work on an observed holiday).
- Day shift schedules.
- Experience working in both primary care and specialty care clinics.
- Perform clinic administrative duties, including but not limited to, answering incoming telephone calls, obtaining and/or verifying patient information, patient check in/out, coordinate and facilitate accurate patient appointment
- Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, chart preparation, medication dosage and frequency, patient allergens, and assist with medical examinations
- Maintain accurate and strict confidentiality of patient information in electronic and/or manual systems as established by the appropriate protocols, regulations, and policies
- Preparing examination room, ensuring proper equipment is present and room is adequately stocked
- Document all aspects of the patient encounter on an electronic medical record system
- Must be able to recognize and identify patient's symptoms and use appropriate professional judgment in course of action.
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel to and work at all four (4) BMC sites, as assigned.
- Must be available by phone to accept assignment changes as needed.
Education Requirements (one of the following options):
- Completion of Medical Assistant education. *Certification is not required but preferred.
- Other completed medical training and proof of active certification with 1 years of recent field experience is an acceptable substitution. (Examples include but are not limited to: EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA, etc.).
- Military medical training and education with supporting documentation is an acceptable substitution of Medial Assistant specific credentials.
- College graduates with a completed four (4) year bachelor's degree is an acceptable substitution of Medial Assistant specific credentials.*College transcripts must reflect completed health science course work. Please submit a copy of your unofficial college transcripts at the time of applying.
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) in a clinic setting, preferred
- $18.91 - $25.21/Hour (Full pay range is $18.91 - $28.36)
