Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and file pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, and motions in state and federal courts.
- Organize, index, and maintain case files, including medical records, accident reports, and correspondence.
- Manage attorney calendars and deadlines for hearings, depositions, discovery, and trial preparation.
- Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, experts, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel.
- Summarize depositions, medical records, and key evidence to support case strategy.
- Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit lists, and trial binders.
- Conduct legal research to support motions, briefs, and other filings.
- Oversee case progression and ensure all deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal experience in personal injury litigation.
- Minimum of 2 years of paralegal experience in plaintiff personal injury.
- Strong understanding of personal injury law, litigation processes, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency with case management software, Microsoft Office, and electronic filing systems.
- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
- Comfort working directly with clients and handling sensitive matters with professionalism.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with trial preparation and courtroom support.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Familiarity with commonly used PI case management platforms.
