What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Specialist position at BOTT RADIO NETWORK?
SUMMARY: This position exists, first, to build community among the BRN listeners through creating daily engaging content across multiple digital channels that complement our Quality Bible Teaching programming.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties will be assigned as the company and department grow and change.
Generate, edit, publish, and share daily content (text, images, video, or HTML) to engage current listeners and increase awareness for attracting new listeners.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create a social media content calendar across multiple platforms: Facebook, lnstagram, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, Linkedln and others as needed.
Ensure all social media content aligns with the company's voice, brand guidelines, objectives, and target audiences in collaboration with the department.
Work closely with the Director of Communications and Marketing to ensure social media activities align with broader messaging and campaigns.
Monitor key social media performance metrics, including engagement rates, follower growth, and impressions.
Prepare regular reports and provide actionable insights to the Director of Communications and Marketing for optimization.
Stay updated on social media trends, platform updates, and industry best practices.
Recommend new strategies and innovative content ideas to maintain the company's relevance and fresh presence.
Research and suggest software, social management tools, and other resources to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability require:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
Strong copywriting skills, smartphone videography expertise, and proficiency in video editing to create engaging and creative content.
Proven experience in content creation, managing social media platforms, and utilizing analytics tools.
Excellent creative and editorial skills, with a keen eye for detail and ensuring brand consistency.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to craft clear, compelling messages.
Experience with and a solid understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, lnstagram, X, YouTube, Linkedln, etc.), including their algorithms, and hands-on exoerience managing corporate social media accounts.
Ability to manage and prioritize content creation, scheduling, and reporting across multiple platforms.
Collaborative mindset and experience working effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
