Job Summary: The Human Resources Generalist provides broad support to the Human Resources (HR) department by assisting in the management of the daily HR functions, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and serving as a collaborative partner to our HR Manger. This role will assist in all areas of HR operations—including payroll, benefits, employee relations, recruiting, compliance, and performance management—and will serve as a backup to other HR Manger when needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisory responsibilities in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:·
Process bi-weekly payroll for BRN’s 3 entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
· Payroll reconciliation, deductions, and reporting.
· Supports the administration of benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, etc.), answering employee inquiries and coordinating with vendors.
· Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
· Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
· Implement new hire orientation, onboarding, and employee recognition programs.
· Assists with job descriptions ensuring they are current and reflect the skills, qualifications and education required and responsibilities.
· Supports the review, maintenance, and enforcement of company policies.
· Serves as a resource for managers on performance management, recognition, and employee morale initiatives.
· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs.
· Oversee employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
· Assists in the development and implementation of talent management, compensation and benefits, and performance evaluation strategies.
· Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, as directed by the HR Manager.
· Maintains compliance with federal, multi-state, and local employment laws and regulations, (FLSA, ADA, FMLA, OSHA and the EEOC, FCC and EEO experience a plus), and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and modern technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Provides input on HR initiatives and projects led by the HR Manager.
· Maintains HR files, records, and documentation in compliance with retention standards.
· Assists in preparing state and federal reporting as needed and serves as a backup to the HR Manager for compliance filings.
· Partners with the HR manager to evaluate and improve HR processes, programs, and technology.

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or the equivalent work experience in human resources
· Three years of experience in progressively responsible Human Resources roles
· Paylocity and Employee Navigator strongly preferred
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and digitalization of records
· Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s Payroll / HRIS

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
