Senior Network / Cloud Security Engineer

📍 Location: Columbia, SC (On-site role with some flexibility for remote work)

📅 Duration: 12-Month Contract | Possible Extension

💼 Employment Type: W2 Only (No C2C / 1099)

🌎 Eligible Locations: Open to candidates based in South Carolina, North Carolina, or Georgia only

We’re looking for a Senior Network & Cloud Security Engineer with deep expertise in designing and implementing secure, scalable cloud infrastructures. This role offers the opportunity to work on enterprise-level projects leveraging AWS and Azure technologies in a collaborative, security-focused environment.

🔹 Design, deploy, and manage highly available and secure cloud infrastructures and applications (AWS/Azure).

🔹 Automate cloud security processes and build accelerators to enhance enterprise security posture.

🔹 Collaborate with Security Operations teams to build and maintain SIEM, SOAR, and XDR systems.

🔹 Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve configuration issues across development, testing, and production environments.

🔹 Implement Zero Trust architecture and frameworks in cloud environments.

🔹 Ensure compliance with major regulatory standards (NIST, HIPAA, SOX, PCI, CMMC, etc.).

🔹 Maintain comprehensive documentation for deployments, configurations, and incident reports.

🔹 Travel occasionally for customer engagements as required.

✅ 5–10 years of experience in Information Security and Infrastructure Engineering

✅ Proven expertise in AWS and Azure cloud design and deployment

✅ Strong background in Cloud Security operations, automation, and monitoring

✅ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

✅ Proficient in documenting security tools, incidents, and configurations

• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto VM Series Firewalls (AWS/Azure)
• Knowledge of Prisma Cloud, Forescout, Cisco Umbrella, and F5 Load Balancer/Firewall
• Experience working with state or local government clients is a plus
  

🎯 Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

🎯 Must hold AWS or Azure Certification

Preferred Certifications:

• CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
• SC-100 – Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE)
• PCNSA / PCNSE
