Botany Lane Greenhouse is a wholesale greenhouse operation based in Lafayette, Colorado. We grow high-quality plant material for independent garden centers, landscapers, and growers across the region. Our focus is on strong plant production, reliable fulfillment, and long-term customer relationships.

Position Overview

Botany Lane Greenhouse is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Customer Service Manager to oversee wholesale order processing and support customer relationships. This role serves as a key connection point between our customers, sales team, and internal production departments.

Working closely with the Sales Manager, this position helps ensure orders are processed accurately, customer questions are handled quickly, and accounts receive strong day-to-day support. The role also includes opportunities for light inside sales, helping identify opportunities to upsell products and grow smaller accounts through proactive communication and relationship building.

During peak seasons, this role may supervise a Customer Service Representative to help manage order volume and customer inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage daily customer service operations for wholesale plant orders

· Enter and process customer orders using Picas greenhouse software

· Set up pricing within Picas as directed by the sales team

· Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, order updates, and availability questions

· Assist customers with product selection, substitutions, and recommendations when needed

· Support the Sales Manager by sending availability lists and responding to routine customer questions

· Coordinate closely with production, inventory, and logistics teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment

· Communicate clearly with customers regarding order status, availability, substitutions, and pickup logistics

· Identify opportunities to upsell products, recommend alternatives, and support the growth of smaller accounts

· Build relationships with customers through responsive service and proactive communication

· Assist with coordinating customer pickups during peak seasons

· Maintain accurate records of orders, changes, and customer communication

· Potentially supervise a Customer Service Representative during peak seasons

Qualifications

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Excellent communication and customer service abilities

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced seasonal environment

· Strong follow-through and quick response times with customers and internal teams

· Comfortable working closely with Sales, Production, Logistics, and Inventory teams

· Familiarity with greenhouse ERP systems such as Picas is strongly preferred

Preferred Experience

· Experience in horticulture, greenhouse, nursery, or agricultural industries

· Knowledge of plants or greenhouse production cycles

· Experience with inside sales, account support, or wholesale order management

· Ability to identify opportunities to grow accounts through proactive customer service

Work Environment

Office-based role located at our greenhouse facility in Lafayette, Colorado. Customer-facing during peak seasons for order pickups. Fast-paced seasonal periods, especially during spring production and shipping cycles.
