NATURE OF WORK 
Performs technical payroll transactions, assists with employee benefit coordination, year-end reporting, and additional HR related functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Process bi-weekly payroll, benefit, and technical transactions across multiple states.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
Maintain and update payroll records in Paycom HRIS surrounding the full employee life cycle.
Assist with payroll, benefit, and accrual reconciliations.
Review and resolve timecard discrepancies with employees and supervisors.
Address employee payroll, benefit, and general inquiries in a timely manner.
Generate and distribute payroll reports, ensuring accurate documentation of payroll transactions and records for audits.
Recommend and assist with internal process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with internal departments to address pay data requests and questions.
Tracks and resolves payroll and tax system alerts. 
Assists with year-end W2 and 1095 ACA preparations.
Monitors and efficiently responds to external vendor requests. 

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
This is a Mid-level position in Payroll

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
Three (3 ) years of multi-state payroll processing experience.
Experience with Paycom HRIS.
A valid Driver’s License is required for an MVR and pass a thorough background investigation.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Familiarity with payroll software and systems, specifically Paycom HRIS Database.
Knowledge of multi-state wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and payroll best practices.
Ability to interpret complex data and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in payroll and data entry.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Commitment to confidentiality surrounding employee data.
Familiarity with Year End filings and ACA compliance.
General Payroll, Accounting and Benefits standards, policies, procedures and regulations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications
