Construction Site Coordinator (CSC) - Materials Coordinator - Construction (Hybrid)

Due to continued growth, Boswell, one of the largest New Jersey based multi-disciplined engineering and construction firms, is seeking a Construction Materials Coordinator to support our Utilities Client Teams in NJ, PA and MD. This position will be hybrid based in Western PA working from home with office and site visits as needed.
Key duties include coordinating with suppliers and production teams, maintaining accurate inventory records, managing storage, and preparing reports on material status and transactions. They must also ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, assist with budgets, resolve issues related to material shortages and ensure timely delivery to job sites.

Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Order, receive, and track all materials and supplies. Monitor inventory levels and perform regular audits to reconcile discrepancies
- Supplier and Vendor Coordination: Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and coordinate with vendors on purchase requirements and bids
- Project Support: Collaborate with construction teams to understand their material needs and ensure material availability for project schedules
- Logistics and Delivery: Coordinate with logistics teams for material transportation and delivery to job sites. Schedule deliveries to align with project timelines
- Quality and Safety Compliance: Ensure materials meet project specifications and safety standards. Manage the material release process and perform quality checks before materials are used
- Data and Reporting: Maintain detailed reports on inventory status and material transactions. Input data into computerized systems for demand estimates and reporting
- Warehouse Management: Manage storage space and organize materials for efficient access and retrieval
- 10 years in supporting field Construction teams on major electrical utilities projects with proven experience in resolving material shortages, delays and discrepancies to keep projects on schedule, as well as communicating material requirements and availability with field team and management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with various departments, management, and vendors
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with computer systems, such as inventory management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving skills to handle issues like material shortages and delivery delays
- Understanding of construction project schedules and material requirements
- Knowledge of procurement and logistics processes
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control measures
