Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of funeral services, including planning, logistics, and execution.
- Provide guidance to families in selecting appropriate services and products.
- Prepare the deceased for viewing by sanitizing, cosmetology, and dressing as needed.
- Conduct arrangements for transportation of the deceased and manage necessary documentation.
- Oversee the setup of the funeral service location, ensuring all details are attended to.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to health regulations.
- Provide support during visitations and memorial services, ensuring a respectful environment.
- Engage in sales activities related to funeral products and services offered by the establishment.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks associated with moving caskets or other equipment as required.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to embalming and preparation processes.
- Proven customer service experience, demonstrating empathy and effective communication.
- Familiarity with event planning principles to coordinate various aspects of funeral services.
- Experience in cosmetology or related fields is preferred for preparing the deceased.
- Prior experience in funeral directing or a similar role is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform tasks that require heavy lifting and physical stamina.
