- Utilize and interpret available blueprints in print or digital form to determine the best strategy for completing an assigned project on-time and under budget.
- Have an ability to effectively manage several electrical projects, or several phases within a single project at the same time.
- Coordinate and liaise with fellow staff, subcontractors, site owners, and general contractors to maximize communication.
- Ability to assist and accurately compile supporting documentation to generate a request for information, request for change, or potential change order to include labor tasks, budget hours, materials, needed, duration of scope, and potential job delays.
- Provide timely status reports to supervisors and stakeholders.
- Effectively mitigate and resolve issues that may relate to project schedule, material, staffing, budget, etc.
- Ensure safety is a priority on the job during all activities on assigned projects.
- Maintains job-site efficiency by following policies and procedures and reporting possible needed changes to your direct supervisor.
Electrical Project Manager Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and able to consistently follow written processes and procedures
- Excellent mathematical skills are preferred
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Ability to stand, lift, maneuver weights that may exceed 50lbs.
- Strong verbal communication skills
Education, Licensing & Experience Requirements:
- Must maintain an Active Connecticut E1 or E2 Electrical Journeyperson’s License
- Active Driver’s License is required
- Current OSHA Certification is preferred
- 5 years of Project Manager experience managing a range of commercial projects as a Project Manager single or multiple trades.
- Experience managing a crew size of 25 on commercial construction projects, required
- Experience working on and managing larger commercial construction projects exceeding $1 million in value, preferred
- Experience managing multiple commercial construction projects, preferred
- Must have a calm demeanor, be team oriented, discreet, and willing to receive constructive feedback
