Boston Catering & Events is growing—and we’re looking for a Catering Sales Specialist who is hungry to build a book of business, generate daily orders, and play a key role in scaling our operation to 100 orders per day.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive daily sales across corporate catering, breakfasts, lunches, weddings, and special events
  • Manage a high volume of outbound calls, emails, and client communications
  • Build and grow your own book of business using self-generated leads
  • Proactively prospect new clients and develop long-term relationships
  • Guide clients through menu options, pricing, and event logistics
  • Collaborate with operations and kitchen teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Consistently follow up to convert inquiries into confirmed orders

What Success Looks Like

  • High daily activity: calls, emails, and client touchpoints
  • Strong conversion rates from inquiries to booked events
  • Growth of personal and company-wide sales volume
  • Contribution toward achieving 100 orders per day as an organization

  • Proven sales experience (hospitality, catering, or food service a plus)

Duties

  • Develop and execute targeted business development strategies to attract new catering clients and expand existing accounts.
  • Engage in warm calling and outreach efforts to generate leads, schedule meetings, and build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Conduct detailed needs assessments with prospective clients to tailor catering solutions that meet their specific requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service terms to secure profitable agreements while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling campaigns that promote catering offerings across various channels.
  • Manage client accounts proactively using Salesforce or similar CRM tools to track interactions, follow-ups, and sales progress.
  • Lead presentations and negotiations with B2B clients, demonstrating the value of our catering services and closing deals efficiently.
  • Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for service enhancements and new offerings.
  • Maintain strong communication with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of catering services and uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales roles such as B2B sales, technical sales, or account management within a high-volume environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills coupled with business development expertise to grow client base effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and influence decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated analysis skills for market research, competitor analysis, and performance metrics evaluation.
  • Experience in cold calling, lead generation, and closing high-value deals in a fast-paced setting.
  • Leadership qualities that enable proactive account management and team collaboration.
