Production Control Specialist - Bilingual in Chinese and English

Position Summary -

This position is responsible for planning and coordinating production and material scheduling based on forecasts, material availability, production lead times, and customer requirements. The role will establish production priorities, coordinate with production and other departments, manage work orders and inventory transactions, address material shortages and scheduling interruptions, prepare production-related reports, and coordinate customer shipments to ensure efficient production flow, proper material availability, and on-time customer delivery.

Essential Responsibilities -

• Generate production schedules and establish order priorities and material availability.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure production plans are executed timely and accurately.
• Analyze and prepare reports.
• Share decision-making with the Production Manager/Supervisor based on material status and order priorities.
• Plan, schedule, coordinate, and expedite material issue to the production floor.
• Ensure effective inventory/material transaction management through work orders.
• Address material shortages, backlogs, or other potential schedule interruptions that may impact the production schedule.
• Interface with customers directly over daily routine shipping activities.
• Follow up with certain important shipments from material receiving, through production, all the way to the shipping dock if needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications -

• Associate of Science degree required.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
• Proven ability to function independently and be able to multitask
• Must have great interpersonal communication skills
• OEM/CM electronic system integration experience - Preferred
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Must have hands-on experience in SAP
• Must have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment
• Previous Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) experience preferred
• Bilingual in Chinese and English – Required

Work Environment and Schedule -

This is an on-site manufacturing role. The position requires regular time on the production floor and the ability to work around machinery, noise, moving equipment, and other industrial conditions while using required personal protective equipment.
