Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of various spaces, including offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a spotless appearance
- Handle custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects and facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support operational efficiency
- Support porter duties by moving furniture, delivering supplies, or assisting with setup for events or meetings
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored
- Follow safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use to promote a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and safety standards
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing
- Experience with commercial cleaning services or industrial cleaning environments preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery
- Basic skills in facilities maintenance or general upkeep are advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
