Job Purpose
The purpose of this job is to assist optometrists with providing care to patients in our optometry office in Bella Vista, AR.
Duties
- Assist doctors during examinations and procedures by preparing the necessary instruments and equipment.
- Perform preliminary tests, including measuring visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and pupil reactions. Includes visual fields, OCT, IOM, biometry, pachymetry, refraction, and more.
- Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
- Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and post-operative care.
- Handle phone calls, patient triage, and administrative tasks to assist the provider.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance patient experience and streamline clinic operations.
Qualifications
- Experience as an ophthalmic technician is preferred.
