JOURNEYMAN CABINET BUILDER - METAL FABRICATOR POSITION SUMMARY:

Bootz & Duke Sign Co. is a premier, full-service Sign company serving Arizona and national accounts for 60 years. We are seeking a full-time, experienced Journeyman Cabinet Builder–Metal Fabricator. This position is responsible for executing quality sign cabinet fabrications.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilize prior experience to read and decipher blueprints, legend symbols, scale of plan, and diagrams to set up workflow for custom cabinet fabrications.
• Operate fabrication tools and machinery, including chop saws, band saws, press breaks, shears, and cutting tables.
• Use time management skills to manage workflow and meet fabrication deadlines.
• Work independently on projects and function as part of a team to ensure each job is completed to Bootz & Duke quality standards.
  
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years of welding and fabrication experience in a Sign shop.
• 5 years of metal sign cabinet fabrication.
• Experience operating tools and machinery, including, but not limited to, chop saws, band saws, press brakes, shears, cutting tables, forklifts, etc.
• Proficient with electrical components, illuminated sign cabinets, LED lighting, welding, and layouts.
• Able to read and decipher blueprints, legend symbols, scale of plan, and diagrams.
• Effective time management and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and function well as part of a team.
• Consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Thorough grasp of OSHA safety standards and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening test and background check.
  
  
  

HOURS & COMPENSATION:

• This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.
• Hours are Monday – Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm.
• Pay range is $25.00 - $30.00 DOE.
• Ability to work longer hours and weekends may be required during peak times.
• OT may be available but is not guaranteed.
• Pay range is $28.00 - $33.00 per hour DOE.
  
  
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Significant and prolonged periods of sitting and working at a desk and computer (up to 8 hours).
• Ability to hear, read, and speak for effective communication (up to 8 hours).
• Sitting, standing, walking, reaching with arms, kneeling, bending, and frequent use of hands and fingers to type, grasp, answer phones, perform filing, open doors, etc.
• Lifting and moving weight up to 15lbs, without assistance or supervision, using proper bending and lifting techniques.
