Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under supervision, Ag Service Technician, diagnose, repairs and maintains a variety of heavy-duty agricultural and fleet equipment. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair technologies to ensure peak performance of machinery. This position will apply skills and knowledge to support the operational efficiency of a progressive organization. This position does not qualify for remote work. Weekend availability expected during busy seasons.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct routine inspections and repairs out in the field on ag equipment such as trucks, tractors, trailers, wind-machines, ATV’s.
  • Perform oil changes, brake repairs, tire replacements, and transmission diagnostics to maintain operational efficiency as needed at Booth locations.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment to identify and fix engine, electrical, and transmission issues.
  • Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform diagnostic tests out in the field in order to maintain and repair a wide range of agricultural equipment such as wind machines, tractors, harvesters, and sprayers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex systems such as hydraulics, powertrain, and electrical circuits.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on all Booth locations to extend the life of equipment and reduce downtime.
  • Replace or repair components like engines, transmissions, tires, and steering systems.
  • Collaborate with a team of technicians to meet seasonal demands and deadlines.
  • Order parts or supplies necessary for repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Provide on-site support for emergency breakdowns and critical repairs.
  • Performed related duties as required.

JOB-RELATED AND ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:

  • Outdoor Activities Familiarity
  • Diesel, Gas, Propane Engine Repair
  • Knowledge of wind machines operations and repair
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, spray systems and pumps
  • Familiarity with Central Valley roads
  • Safe operation of company vehicles, tractors, sprayers and implements
  • Hydraulic and Electrical Systems
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Welding and Fabrication
  • Equipment Troubleshooting
  • Transportation of Equipment
  • Safety Protocols and Compliance
  • Team Collaboration and Communication
  • Vehicle Diagnostics (Fleet Management)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent GED completion.
  • Three to Five years of full-time experience
  • Bilingual (English - Spanish) preferred, but not required.


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Capable of acquiring a Class B Driver’s License, depending on assignment. If Class B Driver’s License is acquired, it must be maintained valid for the entire term of employment.
  • Possess five (5) valid certifications issued by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or equivalent demonstrate experience in the following components. Categories A1, A5, A6, A7, A9 are preferred.

o Manual Drive Train & Axles (A3)

o Suspension & Steering (A4)

o Brakes (A5)

o Electrical/Electronic Systems (A6)

o Heating & Air Conditioning (A7)

o Engine Performance (A8)

o Light Vehicle Diesel Engines (A9)

o Small engines (may be from non-ASE curriculum

o Possess Crane Certification

o Posses EPA Section 609 Certification Exam
